Monitoring & Evaluation

University of California San Francisco, Global Health Sciences

In my role as a qualitative research analyst with the Global Health Group at UCSF, I managed the data analysis for a five-year process evaluation of the African Health Markets for Equity project. I developed a theoretical framework for operationalizing and measuring policy influence, conducted fieldwork and in-depth interviews in Nairobi, analyzed longitudinal interview data from multiple stakeholder groups using Atlas.ti, and prepared academic manuscripts and internal reports for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and implementing partners. This research appeared in Health Policy and Planning in September 2018.

Resource & Tool Development

WestEd

I wrote resource guides for an early version of the LaunchBoard, a suite of dashboards that make data on student progress, completion, employment, and earnings outcomes available to educators for the purpose of program improvement.

Center for Regional Change

I worked with the Center for Regional Change to develop a curriculum—Putting Youth on the Map!—to support young researchers’ access to and use of data and analyses to complement their social change efforts.
